Platform Overview
Empathika is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed specifically for residential care environments. It supports medication management, care documentation, compliance, and secure collaboration with healthcare partners.
Feature Scope
3.1 Medication Management (eMAR)
Electronic MAR charts, PRN workflows, medication scheduling, stock management, pharmacy communication, and complete audit trails to support safe medication administration.
3.2 Care Management
Care plans, daily care records, risk assessments, resident profiles, and structured documentation to support person-centred care.
3.3 Incident & Accident Reporting
Guided reporting workflows, follow-up tracking, and audit-ready documentation to improve accuracy and compliance.
3.4 Compliance & Audit Support
System-wide audit logs, reporting tools, and evidence generation to support CQC inspections and regulatory reviews.
3.5 HR & Workforce Management (where enabled)
Staff records, training tracking, competency management, and absence documentation.
3.6 AI-Assisted Capabilities (where enabled)
Guided data capture, documentation assistance, and intelligent information discovery. AI features support users and do not replace professional judgement.
Service Availability
Empathika is delivered as a cloud-hosted service accessed via modern web browsers. The platform is designed for high availability. Service levels and response commitments are defined in the SLA.
Security, Privacy and Data Protection
Customers remain the data controllers. Empathika acts as a data processor and processes personal data only on customer instructions.
Security measures include role-based access control, encryption, audit logging, and strict confidentiality obligations. Personal data is hosted within the UK unless otherwise agreed.
Browser and Device Support
Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari (latest versions). Internet Explorer is not supported.
